关于Chian hang low

这些天一直在88.7听到这首歌,chain hang low,本来我对说唱也没啥兴趣,但是这首歌中反复出现的童声合唱格外好听，据说这段旋律取材自19世纪早期开始流行于美国的一首著名民歌,我就想找这首民歌.但总是不明白Chian hang low什么意思,本人一向好学就想找到答案,网上搜索找到这个意思let your necklace hang low from your neck ,这个字面的意思能了解,还是不知道含义.
